A torrent of “ Dark Money” is expected to be unleashed on political campaigns and ads hiding behind anonymous committees and organizations in the 2016 elections. It’s time to stop the “Dark Money” game! It’s time to let voters know who is really paying for political ads on ballot measures and their motivation! It’s time to let Californians speak at the ballot box on Prop 49 and the control big money has in our elections.
Join us and learn about AB 700, The California Disclose Act authored by Assembly members Jimmy Gomez and Marc Levine and how you can take part in the effort for greater transparency in our elections and to inform voters who is paying to influence their votes.
The Supreme Court of California ordered Proposition 49 off the November 2014 ballot. Come hear about MOVI’S campaign and action you can take to help restore Proposition 49 on the 2016 ballot . Proposition 49 would have asked voters whether the United States Congress shall propose, and the California Legislature ratify, an amendment or amendments to the United States Constitution to overturn Citizens United and other related judicial ruling.
