Meet & Greet with City Councilmember Mike Bonin & new LAWA Executive Director Deborah Ale Flint
We are delighted to bring you a "local issues" oriented program on October 19th from 7-9pm. Please join us for an update from City Councilmember Mike Bonin, and to welcome our new Los Angeles World Airports Executive Director, Deborah Ale Flint.
As the Port of Oakland’s aviation director since 2010, Executive Director Flint was the primary executive responsible for the operation, management and business development of Oakland International Airport (OAK). She delivered the $480-milliion BART Airport Rail project after years of effort and challenges; executed strategies to stabilize and reverse passenger traffic decline in a difficult market environment; redesigned OAK’s customer experience to make the airport more competitive; and marketed, developed and negotiated numerous development and investment transactions in terminal renovation and hangar development.

CDP Pre-Endorsement Conference
The California Democratic Party (CDP) will be holding Pre-Endorsement Conferences for Congressional, Assembly and SenateDistricts on January 30-31, 2016. Pre-endorsement conferences are a candidate’s first opportunity to seek our Party’s covetedendorsement and we are excited to share with you that our Club is entitled to send(3) representatives to the conference. Pre-endorsement recommendations will be voted on by CDP delegates at the convention in February 2016.
In addition to hosting Councilman Mike Bonin and LAX Executive Director Deborah Flint at our meeting this month, you will have the opportunity to be selected as a representative of the Club to participate in the CDP pre-endorsement conference. In order to be considered as a representative of the Club, you must be a member in “good standing” as of July 1, 2015. For those members who will be attending the meeting but choose not to be considered as representative, in order to vote for a representative you must be a member 60 days prior to business or action to be taken.
