Westchester-Playa Volunteers Needed: The Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count

The 2015 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count is coming up on Wednesday, January 28th from 8:00 to 11:30pm and they are in need of volunteers! The data they will collect is vital to help secure increased federal funding, develop the Homeless Family Solutions System to house our homeless families with children, inform local initiatives, and measure our progress toward ending homelessness in Los Angeles County. By participating in the Homeless Count, you will become an essential part of the movement to end homelessness!
Over 6,000 volunteers are needed across LA County. To show our support, our Club has created a team to help recruit volunteers. We’d love to have you join us on the 28th!
Participating in the count is not hard, and it will help make a difference in our community. The Count will be held from 8:00 to 11:30pm at the Westchester Municipal Building (7165 W. Manchester Blvd.), where training, supplies and refreshments will be provided. Will you spend one night on the streets so that others can have the opportunity to get off of them?
Ready to volunteer?
- STEP 1: Click here to go to the online registration form >
- STEP 2: Choose the “West LA – SPA5” service area, and type "Westchester Playa Democratic Club" in the affiliation field.
- STEP 3: Choose a role (the main need is counters).
- STEP 4: Choose the Westchester deployment site and complete the sign up process.
